I am having problems with Greenby

I have three email accounts on Greenby, one is "postmaster@plusnet....", one is "graham@plusnet,,,,." and one is "linda@plusnet....,

I am having problems getting my emails though there wasn't this problem this morning. It only seems to be on the "graham@..." and "linda@..." accounts, there doesn't seem to be a problem with the "postmaster@..." account (at least I haven't seen any signs that this account is being rejected).

I had the same problem a few days ago, but I left that alone and it cured itself. This time I wanted to find out what the problem was so I tried to log on to Greenby on Google. That rejected me so I tried requesting a change of password. The response was to tell me I would get an email from them that I would need to change the password. I didn't get the email from them that I would need to change the password so I tried guessing the solution to log in on Google - using Google now I just get "Login failed".

Any suggestions please?

The situation now is that all three email accounts are working, but I cannot log on to my Greenby account. When I try to log on, I am now not sure that I am using the correct email address. I have tried both that I can think of ("penneck@....." and my now working "graham@...." email address. Is there a third address that I have forgotten? Is the tail of the "penneck@..." address different to the tail of the "graham@..." address. Is there a way someone on the forum who is still using Greenby can tell me what the tail should be for the log on to the website? I'm being cautious about typing the full email addresses here in case that puts too much in the public domain.

Any suggestions please?

@penneck To log into the website ( https://greenby.com/ ) you use your Plusnet username and account password.

I have tried what I think is my Plusnet username and account password, the former being penneck@plusdsl.net, but that was no more successful than any other attempt. I tried one password, but then asked to reset the password. I am still waiting for the email that allows me to reset the password, so I assume what I used for the username was wrong.

I have asked Greenby to tell me what I should be using for the username, but nothing from them yet. My 3 email addresses work for sening or receiving emails. Its just the logging onto their website I am having problems.

@penneck the username needed for Greenby doesnt need the @plusdsl.net . Its the same username you use to login to the Plusnet member centre (www.plus.net/login)

The 'username is 'penneck' and the password is your account password.

When I try to log in, the box where I am assuming is the username box, is labelled Email. The other box is labelled password. I have just tried penneck and what I think may be three different passwords, and it is just sitting there doing nothing. It is not complaining, it is just doing nothing so I have clicked on "I've forgotten my password", to which it said "If a matching account was found, an email will be sent to you shortly to allow you to reset your password" - nothing so far. How long do I give it? 5 minutes? An hour?

At least a month. If the attached screenshot is what you are talking about, you use your username (only) and your account password, as advised previously.

Forgive my ignorance but how do I view your attachment? I have clicked on it but nothing happens. I haven't had to do anything with attachments here for many years

I think you won't be able to - I suspect the business has decided to close off that facility, as they have with inline images.

To log on to your "Greenby account" - at Greenby.com - you need to use you Plusnet account name (NOT email address) and your Plusnet account password.

In the Email box I have typed 'penneck'. In the password box I have tried several possible passwords. All that happens is the Email box gets highlighted. Every time nothing happens from that point.

However if I try an email address in the Email box, I can at least click on the 'request a new password' and it replies with that message about me getting an email allowing me to change the password, but that email doesn't turn up

I've attached a pdf file of that part of the process of logging on to Greenby, but I haven't been able to open it to check that what I have put there is just the picture of that page.

Can't help, sorry. You obviously got into the Greenby portal, but as I have never bothered with their 'support' I have no idea how that works - or doesn't.

Judging by the facts that they got my email working, but haven't managed to get me able to log in to their website, I think they are a bit of a mix.

I will try them again on Monday - I doubt they work much on a Saturday. I have asked them if they could tell me just which email I need to log on, and I have given them a few examples of what it might be, they dont seem to be making much progress. I would have thought they would be able to search for which account uses one of my email addresses, or failing that give me a better idea of what my sign on email would be even if they just wrote "it woul;d like something like this" and replace my name from it with something that was a clue.

Anyway, thankyou for your help (and to the others that have joined in).

The pdf you attached of your logon page I think shows you are trying to login to the Greenby internal support site - not the user portal!

Try https://greenby.com

Make sure you select the correct provider.
