PN mailservers borked?

I appreciate Greenby are fiddling around again with things that should have been sorted last year, but it appears the Plusnet mailservers are down again. Outgoing works, incoming doesn't!

So when will it be resolved and why does this keep happening - constant imap login failures are unacceptable

@jab1 my primary mailbox seems ok, its just the secondary one that's failing🙄

Unfortunately @MisterW , due to my error when I switched to 'mail-only' my 'primary' one isn't used, but to be honest I'm going to live with it until December 5th when my Greenby subscrption ends and then delete all reference to Plusnet from my mail. I've only kept it going to catch any stray contacts I haven't moved to my new account.

edit: scratch that, it worked briefly, now its borked again!

Our email accounts are playing up , not connecting to mail.plus.net

Yep, still borked and the constant pop-ups from Thunderbird are beginning to annoy.

I've still got mailboxes.

I get the impression that Greenby are trying to 'fire fight' and just aren't testing fixes before going live with them.

In my experience that's just a recipe for disaster...

Me too, and I am amazed a 'professional' organisation is behaving in such a slap-dash manner. I would have been sacked on the spot if I behaved like that.

I am having the reverse problem of what other people have reported: incoming POP mail is OK but outgoing SMTP mail (using mail.enmail.co) is prompting for username and password.

They'll fix it when they fix it, but every failure is a failure too many 😞

Actually, I may be having problems with incoming mail. Although Thunderbird does not give any errors when checking my mailbox by POP, incoming mail (eg sent from GMail) is not arriving there.

Just seen the same, POP3 worked, SMTP Credentials rejected.

I am not going to say it is 'fixed' , but at least I'm not getting 'login failures', and appears the servers are responding after fashion, so we'll see what tomorrow brings. It would be good if it didn't take four attempts to get onto the incoming server every morning.
