The mail.globalnet.co.uk email server still appears to be on the Plusnet IPs,
its TTL is 5mins so a change may be imminent.

Greenby hosted email servers typically have an IP that looks like 91.xxx.xxx.xxx

I received an email a while ago saying that my Globalnet email was going to be migrated to Greenby, with transfers starting on 25th Sept. All has been fine until this afternoon and suddenly my email is failing to authenticate/timing out for unspecified reason depending what I use to try and access. It's not at all unusual for Globalnet email to be down for a short time every so often, but this seems like it might be related to the migration. Are there login settings I need to change? I have tried the Greenby portal but it says my login details are not recognised.

My Globalnet email is still fairly important so thanks for any help!

Hmm. It got better so I guess it's just another of the usual Globalnet glitchiness things after all.

Thanks for taking a look👍

There was a brief issue affecting customers that haven't migrated with usernames beginning with the letters A to D or a number around 4:30pm.

@PhilipHeyes yeah, migration is imminent, we'll be moving Globalnet along with care4feee, callnetuk and totalise to the Greenby proxy next week and ic24, madasafish and freenetname the week after. icscotland, dialstart and totaliserve moved last week. Migrations are planned to run throughout October.
