How to remove email address from blacklist

Hi,

We were notified on 6th September of impending transfer to Greenby but nothing further has been heard.

My wife's email address can no longer send emails from outlook. It receives the following message.

"An error occurred while sending mail. the mail server responded: <****@*******s.plus.com> sender rejected (blacklisted by local policy). Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again".

She can send some emails via webmail but nothing to Hotmail/Outlook or Gmail addresses.

At the same time our other email address from the same root can no longer get through to Hotmail/Outlook or Gmail addresses.

This started on the 14/15th September and appears to coincide with my wife sending a large block of emails and getting several failed deliveries (She has been retired a while and having been asked to speak at a large industry conference was trying to get in touch with old colleagues/contacts but several of the addresses were out of date). I have done a full av/malware scan of her pc and nothing was found and no other odd behaviour.

I am aware this may just be a coincidence.

Any help on how to get off this blacklist would be gratefully received.

I've just popped in here as I'm having trouble sending to a hotmail.com and an outlook.com address as both claim part of the Plus network is blacklisted. This is from a distribution list of 12 people and, oddly, the other outlook.com address seemed to be accepted.

So it looks like it's a problem at system level so a support ticket will be the way forward.

FWIW I also have had problems with gmail for a long time and have to use the base <username>.plus.com address rather than my domain of <username>.co.uk to get through. This is down to poor configuration on Plus's part.

This hints at the SMTP server not accepting your emails. Does it clear if the SMTP username's password is reset ?

Thanks for the reply.

I raised a support ticket via ringing PlusNet who, to paraphrase, said if my internet connection was working there was nothing they could do. They suggested a reset my router to get a new IP address but unsurprisingly that didn't solve the problem. they offered nothing else. It appears they no longer support the email customers they still have.

Unfortunately resetting the smtp password didn't have an effect.
