Hi

Just had the migration email and would appreciate confirmation of my understanding of the requirement for alias creation etc.

I have a handful of mailboxes for family members using the login of account+mailbox@account.plus.net, which I’m assuming will transfer fine.

My ‘main’ mailbox appears to be called account@account.plus.net, but I send from myname@account.plus.net, logging in as account, and this currently works fine. This is where I think I need to set up an alias to continue to allow emails to be sent?

Finally I have catchall ON, so there are a number of other mail@account.plus.net addresses that all drop into my main mailbox. I do not generally send from these addresses, only receive. Again I believe these will continue to be received after the migration.

To send from myname@account.plus.com , myname needs to be defined as either a mailbox or an alias

Usernames of the arcane format : <account>+<mailbox>
need to become the email address format : mailbox@account.plus.com

Making the change now on all devices will avoid a glitch on migration to Greenby.

So if I'm understanding this, if I have a mailbox that I currently have to log in with the username <account>+<mailbox> to get the e-mails, either now or once migrated I should just be able to log in using <mailbox> instead ?

I have four mailboxes set-up, one is mine, one my sisters, one for my website and the catch-all.

I am assuming although I've only current received one mail regarding one mailbox that all four will be migrated along with the alias I currently has set-up ?

As someone who has had a Force9 account for over two decades I am disappointed regarding this migration.
