Android phone mail set up problems ... what are correct settings ?

I have replaced my phone but cannot add my plus net email and keep receiving user name / password error or Imap not recognised messages.
Post migration have settings changed? My tablet and other android phone work ginger bug my new phone judg won't accept my user name and imap settings?

Username is : email address i.e avoid using <account>+<name> or an alias

Server : imap.plus.net

Port : 993

Encryption : SSL/TLS

Thanks I did change my user name config from Account+ name to use full email address.

However, I am still getting the message "couldn't verify account - the username or password is incorrect or pop3 / IMAP access isnt turned on for this account. It is asking to check and try again which I have. I am receiving emails but cannot send?

I have never had issues with plusnet mail until Greeby transition and wondered if there is any change to config required now which will fix email settings ?

Bit frustrating as a customer of plus net for 26 years plus

Have you got 'outgoing server requires authentication' selected ? use the same username/password as for incoming

I have outgoing server authentication already selected but it wont send and holds mail in outbox.

I've tried both relay.plus.net and smpt.plus.net

Do you still have a Plusnet broadband account ?

If not , then change the outgoing server to mail.enmail.co

I do still have my Plus net broadband.

I have been awaiting an upgrade to high speed fibre which was partially installed internally on the 11th June but has yet to be connected to the poles outside so still running on copper.

It is about this time Mid June i stated to suspect issues with my settings ? a co-incidence do you think? or should i contact Support ?

Since you still have a PLusnet account, relay.plus.net is correct for the outgoing server , use port 587 and STARTTLS

If that's the case, then it would seem to be a problem with the configuration on the new phone.
