Is everybody's email down today?

Haven't been able to fetch any new email or log into webmail since around 3.30pm today. Email client doesn't recognise my password and Webmail login attempt returns "Invalid request: No data was saved". I tried two different email clients (on PC and phone, wifi and mobile) - same results. Called Plus but there's a recorded message saying "If you are calling about email we're working on it and aim to have it fixed soon" so didn't wait to get through to a person.

That obviously implies a problem that they know about, but there's no more indication or information on the website. Is everyone's email down, just those who haven't migrated or is it just a few people affected? Any info on cause or ETA for a fix?

This forum is awash with multiple reports of email failings on and off all day today.

I've had imap server problems today - can't log into Greenby and can't receive emails.I think Plusnet will end up losing a lot of customers over this fiasco. I've been with them for 20 years but I can't put up with this..........

I haven't been migrated to Greenby (or if I have, no-one told me). Most of the other issues I've seen discussed here seem to relate to Greenby but as far as I'm aware, my email service is still with Plusnet.

Why on earth Plusnet's owner BT couldn't have made a couple of virtual servers available to move all us loyal customers on to? instead they try to srcape us off like something that's been trod in!

@Uncle_Tupelo Like you I'm still with Plusnet, not Greenby but today's issues are screwing up both Plusnet and Greenby. I've had email problems today.

I can’t access my emails on any platform: Outlook/IPhone/Thunderbird/webmail. This a serious issue as I am urgently awaiting an important email. I am desperate for advice.

I was migated to Greenby a couple of weeks ago. It hasn't gone smoothly (emails not all downloading, emails not being received by receipient- BTInternet addresses eg) and now today no emails are downloading since 1pm and webmail times out so I can't access them there either.

How is it that have things gone sooo badly??!!

And where is the customer support? I feel like we have been sent down the river without a paddle by Plusnet.

Well there's no reason to stay with them anymore I suppose.

No acces to email today. As far as I can tell, still with PlusNet - no Greenby login yet. Reported a few days ago that emails sent and in sent folder, not arriving with recipient. Not sure how long that's been (intermittently) going on.

Ihave had nothing but problems with e mail for the past 6 months,unable to log in ,now being moved to greenby which is useless.I have been with plusnet for over 10 years but feel i have reached the end of the road with them.

Been with PlusNet since they were Force9, joined in 1997. THis email situation is not good at all.

Exactly the same here. 20 years with Plusnet and now this rubbish service - and they want to start charging for it too!

I have not been able to access email, either by Thunderbird or by webmail, for some hours. It is surely time that we hard something like an apology and a rough estimate of when service might be resumed.

Yep, mail program (Evolution) reports login fail. Webmail (Plusnet Squirrel Mail) "Connection to IMAP server failed"

Plusnet "We'll do you proud" - "do you" having a different meaning of late...

What a bunch of Muppets. Glad I've already moved my email and I'm only picking up from Plusnet to wait for any Greenby fail-mail. But sad to see a once great company circling 't plug-ole :-((

Hi,

There's currently an issue with email affecting customers using a mail client like Outlook or Thunderbird (POP3 and IMAP) as well as Webmail.

Madasafish customers are mostly unaffected but it will affect some Plusnet, Force9, Free-online and Metronet customers.

I don't have all of the details but it is being worked on as a priority.
