Do they implement SRS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sender_Rewriting_Scheme) ?

If not , then your forwarded email stands a good chance of being rejected or at least tagged as potential spam

Following Greenby's outage this morning, I can now receive my plusnet email again - at least I can receive emails sent directly to my plus.com email address.

But I also have several domains hosted with another provider, and I have those domains set to forward all emails to the same plus.com address. Emails sent via those domains are still not coming through.

Of course, this could be a problem on the other provider's side. But given the coincidence with a lengthy Greenby outage, my suspicion falls on them.

Is there anyone else here with a similar setup? If so can you confirm whether your domain host is successfully forwarding emails to your plusnet mailbox currently?

@MisterW thanks for the suggestion. That seems to be the issue. The domain host confirmed they don't use SRS, and turning off spam filtering on Greenby seems to solve the issue (obviously not ideal). Something must have changed in Greenby's spam filtering in the last day or two to suddenly cause this though.

I have this and it works but the spam filter seems much more aggressive.

I was looking today as I was missing emails and I seemed to be missing a number of emails I knew were received at the domain.

Spam folder had a fair few more than I'm used to than with plusnet. I logged onto greenby and there's a slider, I've made it a lot less agressive, lets see what happens..

PS I had to switch to another email provider a while back due to my domain provider switching off catch all forwarding so I've most emails go via Zoho (who I'm happy with) then to plus net, which I still use so EVERYTHING goes there as a one stop email inbox.

I trust Zoho far more than Greenby so .. probably I'll just have to get in habit of using it as my primary email place.

Greenby have been pretty flakey. As I type - no worky.

After problems off and on this week they seem to have come back with just not logging in of and on and at the moment nothing at all. EE seem to be intending to drive us away from Plusnet; why didn't they just close it down as they did with the mobile (sorry, frustrated whinge)
