I'm not bothered when I get moved, but I received notification 13/05/25 that I would be moving around 14/07/25, but no progress since.

@James_B I have not yet received any email about the migration and I am assuming that when I do receive a notification it will give me the option to opt out as I do not use Plusnet email.

Can you please clari4fy whether migration will be paused until the major problems with outgoing PN emails not reaching Gmail recipients have been resolved?

As things stand, the Gmail problem is so serious that Plusnet email cannot be considered a functional service.

One example.

Yesterday I sent five test emails to various Gmail recipients.

None were delivered instantly as always used to be the case.

Two were delayed by 7 minutes each.

One was delayed by 39 minutes.

And two have effectively disappeared completely having failed to arrive for well over 24 hours.

I'm not suggesting the migration is in any way a *cause* of the Gmail/Microsoft problems.

I absolutely am suggesting that - for whatever reason - Plusnet email is currently dysfuncitonal and not in a fit state to be transferred to another company.

It would be irresponsible of Plusnet to wash their hands of the problems and crazy of Greenby to take on what would only be a whole heap of trouble.

I am a long standing friend of Plusnet, not an enemy. Everyone at PN I;l've ever been in contact with about both broadband and email has been a pleasure to deal with,. So when I refer to the current PN email service as 'dysfunctional' I'm not attributing blame, just stating a fact. When stuff doesn't work, it doesn't work - even if the company operating the stuff is completely blameless!

If what Greenby says is true, it's potentially enormously important and it's good of you to share.

But I know nothing about Greenby and have no way of knowing how reliable their chat response is.

On the face of it, there seems to be some reason to be sceptical.

The limited amount of information that's been filtered through to us from Plusnet via the forum suggests the Gmail problem is entirely caused by unreasonable changes at the Google end - and is therefore nothing to do with Plusnet procedures or protocols - or indeed the Plusnet platform.

If that's the case, why should a switch from the Plusnet to the Greenby platform change anything if the platform is not the problem?

I'm not trying to be a smart [-Censored-], but I do think that's a perfectly reasonable question!

Can a friendly Superuser or someone form Plusnet staff throw any light on this?

For those of us loyal customers who WANT to keep our Plusnet addresses due to the monumental hassle of changing one's primary address but who are wrestling with whether to cut and run if the Gmail/MS issues are going to prove insoluble this stuff really matters.

Any advice more than welcome !

I am somewhat disconcerted by Greenby's claims here. As yet there is no clear evidence of the cause giving rise to the incomprehensible variable behaviour of these third party platforms. Until such cause is clearly understood, there are no grounds to support Greenby's claims.

Work to understand the inconsistent belligerence from the third party email environments continues.

I think we're entitled to know officlally from Plusnet whether or not they plan to progress and complete the migration while the Gmali/MS issues remain unresolved.

Surely it would be crazy, but the post below from Coimmunity Gaffer James_B earlier today conspicuously doesn't answer the question !

From earlier posts the migration to Greenby is not being considered as a fix for any of the current email delivery issues.

So rose tinted promises from Greenby's chat bot are poppycock.

Assuming Plusnet continue to work successfully on the current delivery issues and come with solutions,
will such solutions be applied to the email accounts that have already migrated to the Greenby platform ?

I suggest that @James_B's comment is essentially an official statement that the migration will continue, unabated. It is a long journey, there are multiple brands ... and as yet, I believe that only the PLUS.COM brand is blighted by the bulk sender measures. The PLUS,COM migration is at the backend of the programme.

Therefore it is probably fair to suggest...

The early phases of the migration are not overshadowed by the current issues
There is time for the issues to be progressed before PLUS.COM moves into the migration programme
AIU matters, there is no characteristic in the migration activity which would have any bearing on the configuration elements which are thought to influence the issues

I spent 35 years supporting major IT programmes: based on the knowledge of what is happening, I would be continuing too. Get the unaffected domains moved to where they are going regardless of the on-going issues for the last in the programme service.

This is not a single email service which is being moved, but rather 14 of them!!

Unless I have missed something or someone knows differently...

No PLUS.COM account has been migrated and will not be migrated for a while
No email users other than PLUS.COM have been impacted by the bulk sender measures
Unless it is discovered that there is some really bazar cause here, this is not looking like a Plusnet email server issue

What you say makes sense to me.

Gmall test results currently disappointing.

Nothing's been delivered instantly for the last couple of days and I:ve had two emails disappear completely (*) for the first time in ages.

(*) = undelivered after 24 hours.
