Sounds like there is a fault on the system - I suggest you call PN when they open at 8AM. I would, but I am no longer a customer, so have no way of reporting this.

I also had the same database error but eventually was able to login. I received a couple of emails and now I get the following red error message box at the top of the screen when refreshing inbox (or trying to access any folder):

(!) Application Error (603): SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused.

Closed the browser, reopened and got the original 'Database Error' webpage (i.e. no webmail.plus.net login page).

Are folks still encouraging the issue. I’ve just logged into a number of mail boxes without issue.

Yes, it seems to be OK now.

FYI I did get the 'PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR Contact website owner' message on a few loading attempts (Mozilla Firefox) but that seems to have cleared now.

As far as I recall, just refreshing the inbox manually ('check for new messages'). The loading wheel turned up and then it switched to the EoF webpage. I think I then closed the tab and tried to reopen the webmail login page on a new tab and received that same EoF message.

I understand this may be a Firefox issue so I completely exited the browser, reopened and I was able to login OK. That may have cleared the issue.

I just wanted to let you know of this additional glitch, even if the EoF isn't necessarily a Plusnet issue.

Details are always most helpful. I’ve seen EoF events in other areas of testing, nothing directly associated with the webmail interface. It can be difficult to know for sure if the errors stem from the interface (webmail) or the IMAP / SMTP back end systems.

Unfortunately, this issue is back on my https://webmail.plus.net.

On refreshing the inbox or trying to switch folders I get the '(!) Application Error (603): SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused' error at the top of the page again. This message is instant in that there is no loading.

I closed the tab. OPened a new tab and I get the Roundcube error;

DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!

Unable to connect to the database!
Please contact your server-administrator.

Exited the firefox application (latest version on laptop) and restarted. I still get the same Database Error page.

FYI, an email sent from my Gmail to my Plusnet email is picked up by my Gmail app when it syncs with my plusnet mail, so my email client works fine but the webmail doesn't.

Not really, the mail server itself is probably ok, the fault is in the webmail application server.

That's what I thought too, as my mail was coming through MW/TB with no issue - and still is.
