Deleting emails with webmail

I have had the dreaded email saying reduce your mailbox size. But Webmail never works, hanging or saying connection times out. Even when it does it takes ages to delete only a minimal amount.

What's the answer to this truly annoying problem.

Come on plusmail give us a decent service as it should be really quick and easy

@MuttlyD How much is in your inbox/sent/deleted folders? Are trying this on a computer or phone/tablet?

As I don't use webmail, I can only give you limited advice - but one thing I remember from someone with more knowledge than me on this is to set the 'sort' order to 'none'.

Mailboxes are 430Mb. Have tried it on both tablet and laptop subsequently.

Will see if I can find sort order option.

Don't mind having to have tidy up, just be nice for the tools to work

When logging in, try the 'basic webmail' option on the login screen. The 'sort order is under the little box with a down arrow, extreme left of the inbox.

And I think the " nearly instantly" is rather optimistic these days.

Why use webmail?

Most device based IMAP email clients will give you a far better experience. That said, do avoid “new” outlook.
