Unable to send email on data

I am unable to send email on mobile data all works fine when on plusnet broadband, raised a ticket went thought all the setting and all correct. Anyone able to help?

Have you got authentication set on the outgoing server ( relay.plus.net ) ?

yes correct relay.plus.net will not connect on any security type

I use these settings on my smart phone with google email client

Inbound IMAP - imap.plus.net port 993 encryption TLS/SSL

Outbound SMTP - relay.plus.net port 587 encryption STARTTLS

Username…

If it is the default email account just use the Plusnet accountname (example: dan_the_van)

If it’s a secondary email account use accountname+mailboxname (example: dan_the_van+dansemail)

IMPORTANT: User name (authentication) configured on BOTH incoming and outgoing servers

I've tried a couple of times now and I can not get samsung email app to work, I get the same error message as you, with and without Security Type set

I note that the samsung app is missing SSL/TLS and STARTTLS

Have you tried using gmail email app as an alternative?

These are the settings for gmail app which works off network, I have a free-online.co.uk email so I use free-online.net; but for you they would be relay.plus.net and imap.plus.net if you have a plusnet email address

The Usernames for both are myaccountname+mymailboxname

Just to confirm do you get this message when connected to plusnet or to mobile data.? The message suggests your current IP Address has been blacklisted due to suspicious activity, probably by a previous user?

If it's on mobile data , it's likely that it's using CGNAT in which case many users will be sharing the same public IP. Only takes one to be 'naughty' and the IP will be blacklisted...

I would try disconnecting the mobile data for a while to see if you get a different IP Address, they are usually not that sticky

What is my IP Address will report your current one
