The 'information' you read is also out of date (from June last year), as the 'mail only' option is no longer available, from that time.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Help with email account after leaving plusnet</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Good evening.&amp;nbsp;I'm wondering if anyone could help me.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;After many years, I cancelled my broadband account with Plusnet due to no longer requiring it now that the kids have all moved out of home. &lt;BR /&gt;I didn't even think that the email address part of it would also be cancelled, as I still retained my tiscali email address and bt email address after leaving them to move to plusnet.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My account closed today and now my wife is having a serious tiz because she cannot access anything anymore. I now read that I had to tell the operator when I cancelled my account to keep my email. I didn't know this, I just wish I was asked by the operator during the cancellation process, I just assumed, which is totally my fault.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Who do I contact and beg for my wife's email address to continue? Or have I dropped a proverbial b*****ck and missed my chance?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any pearls of wisdom would be very much appreciated, and may save me from sleeping on the sofa for the next month.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;What do you mean by retained your Tiscali and BT email addresses? Is it that you have just forwarded emails to your Plusnet account? If so I would assume that you can still log in to these original accounts and simply remove the forward to Plusnet. The question then is whether the emails still exist on these Tiscali/BT mail servers.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
