Messages rejected as 522 Spam

I am having problems receiving messages with attachments from Gmail.

A message with no attachment comes through fine.

The same message, from the same sender, with a doc or docx attachment is rejected with 522

If the attachment is a jpeg it come through fine

I clicked the message as "not spam" but this makes no difference.

Other senders work fine with any sort of attachment.

@tynllwyn Who or what is tagging the message as 'spam'? My guess is Gmail.

Some more info, the docx attachments that get rejected come through fine from other senders which does point the finger at gmail, however other recipients get the attachment from gmail with no problems, which directs the finger back to plusnet.

Can you post the rejection message - that would point the finger in the correct direction?

@tynllwyn If I read that correctly, the message has been sent, forwarded, and kicked around by Gmail before being rejected for some reason - I don't know if it is their implementation of DKIM/SPF rules, unauthourised sender, or a .png image referenced in there.

Not knowing enough, I'll tag @Townman , who knows much more than me about Gmails (mis)behaviour.

This needs the eyes of tech support, however in reading through the headers, it looks to me as though there is an intermediary in here. Is there a redirecting email address / service herein?

That's what I suspected, @Townman , but that was a BIG header and I got lost, hence why I tagged you. 😉
