Hi,

I got my emails restored last week and when i was moving them to a different folder, a server error occurred and they have all disappeared. Can they be restored again please.

Hey there @madigan just to check was this on webmail or on an email client?

It was on webmail as I wanted to sort the emails out before downloading to email client. I have searched all folders but when the server error occurred there was no emails left in the webmail client.

Please can you try this for me to see if it will help:

To set the sort sequence back to the default setting requires EXPLICT user action...

Log into webmail
On the inbox list screen select LIST OPTIONS which is the little grid icon on the left of the column title bar
Set sorting column to NONE
Click save
See the mailbox list display nearly instantly

Let me know if it doesn't help.

Thanks for getting back to me @madigan I will try and get them restored but I can't promise anything as the snapshots are only kept for a week.

As the messages are all still missing, do you keep the archived files that were unarchived through a request on the 8/12/22 that where restored previously?

I have told by the network team that they restored it on 9th Jan 2023. By what you are saying I am guessing this is not the case?

Sorry missed this reply.

The emails were restored correctly on the 9th but then when moving the messages a server error occurred and they disappeared, not available in any folder or bin.

Cheers for getting back to us, just to cover off the obvious thing, have you checked to see if they've downloaded to your mail client?

Hi,

Yes unfortunately I only used the webmail client so as to ensure the messages were edited correctly before restarting the outlook mail client.
