Multiple receiving of Emails

Hi there,

I am using Outlook (2013?) in POP3 mode and have started to receive multiple copies of emails when I start Outlook up.

For example: I start Outlook up and it downloads my unread emails from Plusnet's servers. I delete the emails I don't want and close Outlook down. If I start Outlook up again, I get all the same emails that I downloaded previously (including those deleted) downloaded again.

Outlook is configured to 'delete emails from the server once downloaded' but they seem to persist. Its as if the email server is not registering that the emails have been downloaded 'POP' style.

The situation started about a week or so ago.

Any clues as to what is going on and how to stop it?
