Emails not deleting from iPhone - recurring issue

Hello all! I have Waitrose webmail on my iPhone. I have a repeated issue since last year where emails will suddenly stop deleting from my phone. I’ve solved it a few times by deleting the email account from my phone and reinstalling it but it’s recurring with increasing frequency and I’m going to smash my phone soon. I use the imap.plus.net and relay.plus.net. When I remove it and reinstall the account it often takes several goes before it works again, but I use the same settings and login details, there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason. Thanks for any advice!

A warm welcome to the forums.

The email application on iPhones can be temperamental, sometimes requiring a full refresh as you are finding. On mine, from time to time the Exchange mailbox refuses to connect and update.
