Since the email issues started last Wednesday, I have been unable to access emails from an old Freenetname account. It says the password is not correct.

I have also tried to go to webmail via the Plusnet site and cannot sign in there either.

Could somebody please advise as to how I can check my Freenetname password.

For some reason I have now managed to get into the email system !

Thanks for the people that looked to see what my problem was

That is good news!

I would suspect that this is a consequence of the creeping fix / mop-up of the residual issues. The bulk of the outstanding reports appear to be restricted to the legacy email brands ... which somewhat imply connections from third party ISP networks.

Such hints at the possibility of inbound email connection from third party networks still being problematic. I have asked a specific question on that possibility.
