How do I set up Thunderbird for Plusnet emails

High Guys,

I have downloaded the Mozilla Thunderbird ver: 9.3.1, but cannot set up. Please I need step-by-step help to set it up as a client.

Your help will be much appreciated.

It is NOT supposed to be PROBLEM FIXED, it show how often I use the community forum.

In Thunderbird Account settings :-

Account Name yourname@youraddress.plus.com

Your Name : What you want others to see

Email Address : same as Account Name

Reply-to Address : nothing here

Organisation : nothing here

Outgoing Server (SMTP):

Same as Account Name and followed by - relay.plus.net(Default)

[ PRESS OK BUTTON ]

Server Settings

Server Name : imap.plus.net Port: 993

User Name: same as account name

Connection Security: SSL/TLS

Authentication method: Normal Password

[ PRESS OK BUTTON]

No more changes in that section, move to Outgoing Server (SMTP)

Box on left of [ ADD ] button should show

Account Name followed by - relay.plus.net(Default)

Details of selected server: should show

Description: <not specified>

Server Name: relay.plus.net

Port: 587

User Name : same as Account name

Authentication method: Normal password

Connection Security: STARTTLS

Press the [ OK ] button

The above is showing in my Thunderbird and I can send to and receive from Plusnet.

Thank you for posting the Thunderbird set-up procedure for everyone to use.

My downloaded Thunderbird is version: 91.3.0 and hopefully it works.
