Totalise mail not arriving

I ve used this (totalise) to send and receive email for years without a problem, now suddenly I can SEND but not RECEIVE

On my iMac I use outlook - I have checked with Plusnet and the agent verified my imap Settings.

My iPhone and iPad are are both effected

Any help would be appreciated as you can imagine,

@ronkk If you have been using the account for years, has it always been via the IMAP protocol? Just wondering if you have exceeded your meagre server quota?

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your email account. Are you able to locate received emails via webmail at all? OR is it just your clients?

I use outlook on my Mac but not on my iPad or iPhone,
I did check in with the tech dept at Plusnet who confirmed my imap settings were ok

I have deleted a lot of my “ sent messages “

I have updated my Plusnet password as the the system asked. Now emails have started to come thro. My previous password was letters and numbers and I have used it for many years - now it asks for a special character.

I am now cautiously optimistic that this may have fixed the problem.

@ronkk I suggest you keep your 'sent' and 'deleted' folders as empty as possible - the 250MB allowance on those accounts is not much by todays standards.

Thanks, I have created a folder on the Mac and dragged the sent items that I should keep for a while into that area.

have you deleted them from the mail program?
