Cannot Send Email when Tethering through Huawei P10 Mobile Phone

Can somebody suggest why I cannot send emails from my desktop computer when connected to the internet by tethering through my Huawei P10 mobile phone, please?

I use the email program Pegasus on my desktop Windows 10 computer for sending and receiving email. It is Pop3 and I use the <mail.plus.net> setting for receiving emails and the <relay.plus.net> setting for sending emails, and this has been working for many years without any problems when I connect direct to the internet through my Plusnet account.

I have recently been having broadband connection problems and have used the tethering option on my Huawei P10 mobile phone to enable my desktop computer to connect to the internet. When I do this, I can still download my emails, but cannot send them. The program returns the following:

Can someone tell me what this means, please, and if there is a different setting I have to use when sending emails whilst connected to the internet through my mobile phone?

I have just realised that although my original post is saying the problem has been fixed, it has not! The fix only applies to the post being treated as spam, I still don't have the answer(s) to my original post question(s).

@G4BUE when not using your Plusnet connection, you will need to specify authentication on the outgoing (smtp) server. Use the same username/password that you use on the incoming server. Authentication will work with both PlsuNet and non-plusnet connections so you can leave it configured.

As you were MisterW. I have just worked out how to configure it in my Pegasus email program, and I am now able to send emails while tethering to the internet through my mobile phone.
