Selecting which forums are displayed when you click 'Unread posts"

Is there a way to electing which forums are displayed when you click 'Unread posts" ?, I don't think there is but just checking.
Is it possible the setup of the forums to allow such a feature as I think it would be very useful - given the large volume of posts and the time needed to scan them all.

Thanks for the quick response - I forget what software the forum uses - I wonder if a later version has such functionality - has the software been updated at all ?

this runs on smf and the version is *very* old

Thought so - when we were on PUG forum I remember discussing it then !!!
