Deleting a Post

New User here.
Created a post by mistake - how do I delete it - can not see an option only modify

you can't delete posts, just drop a mod a pm or report a post in the same thread and someone will sort it for you

You can't
If it really needs deleting - and in your case you just edited it to show deleted which is fine - then use the report to moderator button of the preceding post asking that the following post should be deleted
To answer the follow up question - the delete option was removed after a disgruntled poster deleted their posts en block which caused havoc in the threads
Edit - there you are two answers for the price of one
