Suggest new board to be included in Technology - " Android Software"

We have specific boards for Windows Software..... Linux and Mac Software..... but nothing for Android Software... to discuss apps and other stuff associated with the Tablets/phones that use Android OS.

Great idea Shutter. Many of the smaller businesses faced with migrating from XP to ? Win7 or Win 8 or 8.1 are confused and are now looking at Android Apps to run the business via the cloud. E.g. My local builder / maintenance man / decorator does his quotes, invoicing, email etc all via his Android phone - such that suitably tech savvy clients can get their quotation or Invoice locally printed. Very impressive and he reckons helps improve his cash flow!
Open debate on good Apps bad Apps would be helpful - but keep the Gaming bits to the existing board.

Would a board specifically for Smart Phones be a better idea as that could cover all the various types

Smart Phones is bit restrictive. How about Smart Devices or Smart Network devices? This should be generic enough to cover phones; tablets; e-readers; Home control systems (cameras,lighting, heating) and things yet to hit the market.

Quite probably Strat. At least in their current state. Longer term the Smart TV looks like becoming the common household central device, acting as PC; Home Cinema; Tablet; Skype ----------> and then where will we put Smart TV's? I think that we've got about 12 Months to prepare for that
The Android based devices are a tad more interesting because of their Open interfacing and Development route so more to discuss.
Apple is interesting because with its restrictive development / deployment model, it tend to produce a more stable product - but at a price.
Potentially a new board as suggested will move some of the traffic out of Chit Chat to a more appropriate location?

How about setting up ( say ) four new boards ..... Android Devices...... Apple Devices... Smart TV..... Smart phones..... ( or whatever ).... then after (say) six months... review them to see how each had developed, and combine the " smaller " developed devices into a single board , with all the names as it`s title... so people will know where to post their query....

OK... if that is a definitive NO.....
Don`t you think it is about time that the "newer" OS`s... e.g. Android, which, I think is the most popular after Windows, due to its wide use in phones and tablets. should have a seperate board ?
The other "technology" OS`s should be included as a title in other boards, so that the customer can post in the correct environment.... thus saving the MOD`s the extra work involved in moving stuff around .....
This forum is , presumably, for the benefit of the CUSTOMER.... not the staff, ( who do benefit, by the advice given to members by members ) nor the MOD`s... Therefore, the customers/members should be able to request and be given the necessary boards to continue to evolve the excellent work that the forum does, viz a viz, reducing workload on support staff.
By giving the boards requested, also reduces the workload of the MOD`s...

The definite no was in relation to sub boards and a tentative no to several new boards on a trial basis
Regarding a single new board you will need to be patient on that as, although the mods could unilaterally create a new board, we definitely need Plusnet input and that won't be available until next week of perhaps a bit later depending on holidays etc, (yes we do let them have them occasionally)

How very dare they make you ask permission, as they said to me Plusnet have nought to do with the forums, as its down to the Mods (when I enquired about an issue a while back)
Therefore
What is the correct information
Who has the final say / give permissions / ire & Fire et al for the forum(s)
