Unread posts taking ages to load

When I click 'Unread Posts' I had one connection reset page, then a ten second delay. Clicking on individual threads are fast, but not 'Unread posts' - maybe that accesses a database which is playing up?

Yep..I just had a 'slow period' but it's back to 'normal' now.

No, definitely still going on. I just had another one. Maybe it's because it's just a shit forum and it's part of the usual delays that are constantly reported and about which nothing is ever done.

Maybe if two people click 'Unread Posts' at the same time it stalls the server thinking 'Gosh I can't cope

It really shouldn't be the hardware! It's more than capable of coping with the requests thrown at it. I'm thinking it's more likely to be an issue with the software or similar. I'm following up with our code team to see where we're at with some fixes for the Community Site.

That's what I think. When I say 'forum' I mean the software. I wish this forum used vbulletin.

Any posts not loading at all for me just now, since about 13.10hrs. Took a few minutes to start functioning again.

I've been here since Nov 2012 and I gather problems with this forum have been going on since long before I joined (judging by the repeated threads/posts that I've seen since then). Loading of threads/post problematic yet again. I seriously don't think PN are remotely capable of having a forum server that functions properly without any of these problems (or even cares, really). I'm sick to death of repeated problematic posting/loading here.
