Unsubscribing from an unsubscribed thread

How do I do it? As strange as the question may seem, I am still getting notification via email and a listing on 'Replies to your post' for a thread that is not listed on my subscriptions list. I tried subscribing once again, so that I could remove it again, but I'm still getting the notifications and it's annoying the hell out of me.

As you say you aren't subscribed to it.
If it happens again it will need a staff admin to investigate as I don't have the necessary permissions
