    <description>Reading the SMF License and Copyright pages on the SMF website I would say that you cannot remove the bit that says "SMF © 2006-2007, Simple Machines LLC" which is understandable.</description>

      <description>In line with the present practice in phpBB, would it not be better if the version number was omitted from the "Powered by SMF" in the footer of these forums? If a new version of SMF is released to fix a security hole, I rather think displaying the old version number until you can get it fixed is inviting trouble!</description>

      <description>i spend a lot of time on smf fora and one feature i use a lot is the up/down button at the head and foot of pages. it helps when, having read to the end, the user wants to get to the top quickly without having to use the slide bar.&lt;BR /&gt;please, pretty please, can we have a go down and a go up button?</description>
