Wordpress URLs

I dunno if URL's in blogs are supposed to automatically become clickable links, or whether the blogger in question is supposed to manually turn them into links when posting.
Anyhow, there are quite a few instances of blog entries containing URLs which aren't clickable.
If the blogger thinks the URL is important enough to include it in their article, I'd like to be able to follow it without faffing about Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V 'ing!
Can it happen automatically, or does some discipline/tuition need to be introduced to bloggers?
(As you can probably tell, I've never created a blog entry before, so don't know how it works)

There's an easier way than CTRL+C, CTRL+V etc.
Install URL Link
Highlight the URL and pick Open Selected URL from the right click menu.

Currently we have to linkify urls ourselves in the blogs. I think it would make sense for wordpress to do it automatically if it's not too difficult to set up.
