Suggest renaming forums

Would it help getting more posts in the right places, and avoid some of the 'thread moved' events if:

"Broadband" was renamed "Broadband (ADSL & FTTC)"

"Full Fibre" was renamed "Full Fibre (FTTP)"

or similar ?

I guess the marketing folks responsible for the confusion would spit feathers.......

There have been a few discussions regarding this both with members and between staff and moderators.

I'm not convinced it would make a huge difference as I believe many (particularly new) posters will see the first board in the list and post there.

Given the decreased level of traffic on the fora of late I suspect this won't be a priority.

Personally I would prefer a change to what is considered appropriate for each forum. For example, currently questions about splitting ADSL/FTTC from a landline are not considered appropriate for Broadband/Full Fibre and are moved to Everything Else.

I imagine most posters will approach the forums with the thought "I have a problem with Broadband" or "I have a question about my Home Phone" rather than "I have a problem with Everything Else".

I think the fora should be organized according to the poster's view of the world and what they want help for, rather than how the provider's business is organized.

However, I can't see that there will be any enthusiasm to make changes since Plusnet take little interest in the fora currently, and are gradually removing all products except FTTC and FTTP broadband (and since the differences confuse posters a single forum would probably be sufficient).
