Hateful Blog Posts

I’m sorry (or am I), I know I sound like an old grump but is there anything that can be done to stop these hateful Blog post appearing in the Forum message view.

There are two distinct options on the community banner implying, at the least, that they are two separate entities so why they appear as a Forum post when they evidently aren't I don’t understand. Can anything be done to stop this?

As I have said before if I was interested in them I’d read them from the Blog option.

The community structure goes like this

Plusnet Community
    > Forum
    > Blog
    > Library

If you are viewing the latest topics / posts under Plusnet Community, the blog falls under this too. I assume you are using this URL - https://community.plus.net/t5/forums/recentpostspage/post-type/thread

If you want to view just the latest forum topics, use this link:

https://community.plus.net/t5/forums/recentpostspage/post-type/thread/category-id/Forum

The blog isn't a seperate system and the homepage is a bit of a catch all for all posts, topics, blog posts and library posts.

Hi @jaread83, thanks for the reply, the URL I use is always the same as it comes from a Toolbar link on my browser.

So with that said I wouldn't expect to see Blog post under the unreadpostspage of the forum.

That link is for all items across the entire community.

Fair enough @jaread83 but that isn't implied by the reference in the URL i.e. /forums/ and the link you provided isn't what I want as I like to read everything from one source, using that link I have to select each item to read the new posts.

Also I see that there is no (obvious) way to create a Blog post on its own via the link above, so how are they actually created? Is it possible that the posting be created then a separate post made in the forum notifying users of the new Blog entry.

OK maybe it is just me, and there is nothing that can be done, but that ~~doesn't~~ hasn't stopped me from having a good bleat about it.
