From what we have seen so far, I am guessing you are on SoGEA (FTTC without phone) . Have you ever had a phone connected?

I am not surprised that the bot comes back with 'NFF', as I suspect you are still above the Hand back Threshold, but again, I can't see why you are having the issue first reported, and unfortunately I don't have clue what could be causing it.

Since Sunday evening what was a solid internet experience has gone downhill almost like someone flicked a switch.

What is happening is every time I do something internet related that isn't already happening it's almost like it has to think about it for 5-10 seconds. This happens via wireless and wired.

For example, watching YouTube on the TV which is wired, it will load the video thumbnails after a few seconds, I pick what I want to watch, start watching and then maybe click on the comments and it all pauses for maybe 5 seconds, loads the comments then the video plays catch up like it's on fast forward.

If I load up Chrome I can type something in to the search bar and it does nothing for like 10 seconds the bursts into life. Gaming is the same, load up BF6, check for updates, does nothing and then checks for updates.

Internet now seems to be pausing for a short time and then doing something.

I have ran the line checker and that comes back fine. The bufferbloat test came back at C. Router been factory reset and unplugged. Gaming PC reinstalled becaue I thought it was my WiFi card playing up. WIFI channels are on what appear to be the best according to WiFi analyzer.

And also downloads seem to start off slow and then build up to what should be the speed i'm supposed to get. It will hover around 20mb for again 10 seconds or so then build up to what I'm supposed to get.

Which broadband product are you on? FTTP or FTTC?

For FTTC the router information will give insight to how the line is performing.

For FTTP, it will just report the connection to the ONT speed.

One thing is interesting though - given your reported attenuation, the speeds seem just a little low.

You have half the attenuation of my line, whilst my line is running a shade under 74mbps with a SNRM of 4.8. Do you know if you are still FTTC or SoGEA?

If FTTC (with a voice service) can you check for audible noise on the line.

There is no harm running the diagnostic bot - see the link below.

I don't know which service I have and I'm sure we have no voice service and I have no phone to check. I have the ran Bot 2 maybe 3 times and it comes back with no issues found.

Just ran bot again and again no issues, just text refresh to reboot.

Can you post here the waveform bufferbloat test result URL ?

After running the test, scroll down to "Share your results" and then [Copy] that URL.

@Smok3y

Check in your Hub Two settings, that IPv6 is disabled.

@Smok3y

On your PC, if your DNS settings are picked up by DHCP, try setting the DNSs manually to say 9.9.9.9 and 1.1.1.1

and then restart the PC and see whether the problem has gone ?

@Smok3y

Can you set up a free ThinkBroadband Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM)

This will create a 24/7 monitor that displays the patterns of latency and packet loss on your VDSL broadband, which might visually give a clue as to what is going on with your unexplained pauses and what was happening at the time.

You will first need to set your Plusnet Hub Two so that it will reply to ICMP/ping requests on it's WAN interface.

I believe there is a toggle for this in the router's GUI, somewhere here Advanced → Firewall → Configuration

If your Plusnet connection has a dynamic IP address, then you will also need to configure your router and the BQM settings with a dynamic DNS service - so that the remote ThinkBroadband server can track your router's WAN IP if it changes.

I believe that your Plusnet Hub Two supports the following free DDNS services -

No-IP DDNS

ChangeIP

ZoneEdit

Once you have the chart working, go to - https://www.thinkbroadband.com/my-profile/broadband-quality-monitor
find and press the [Share] button under your chart,
look in the "Share Live Graph" section and copy the <Direct Link> URL,
then paste that URL in your reply here - so we can all see what is going on with your connection.

@Smok3y

... and finally, can you try plugging your router in to the TEST SOCKET behind the phone master socket faceplate -

After a few hours messing about I tried disconnecting the wired stuff downstairs from the router and now the internet is working fine wirelessly. So not sure why the wired devices were casuing the issue? Dodgy router maybe or some network settings but it's kind of fixed?

That's it i'm done. Tried everything. Resetting router, wired, wireless, borrowed an Asus AC68U. Speeds are worse through the suggested test socket for some reason. Texting help to help line. Internet is garbage, ping all over the place, packet loss, download wired and wireless hitting around 30-40mb and not getting guaranteed speed although sync speed says 64mb. At this point in time i'd rathe rpay exit fees and go back to VM. Was fine for first 3 or 4 months now it's terrible.
