Sounds crazy but every morning wake up to flashing orange router coincidentally went to wb boiler to check boiler pressure and this fixed flashing and immediately went blue! Had open reach in twice last week as intermittent orange flashing constantly. Now every morning it is flashing orange but can fix by operating boiler controls. Can a boiler interfere with a router.BTW open reach have since we reported fault been up the phone poles in our street so could this be the explanation?New hub 2 router makes no difference.Boiler is hive linked

Is your boiler a 'smart' one? A lot of these types of IoT things can have unintended effects on connections, but it does sound strange.

Can you export your Hubs Event Log and attach the resulting csv file to a post, please.

Hi have Google this and yes apparently hive hub does interfere with routers especially Plusnet. This easiest fix is to relocate hive hub as Far as possible away from Plusnet hub so will try this first.Second fix is to access router software from Plusnet and use a different channel

Yes Plusnet have been remotely monitoring faults but unfortunately it's all been complicated by open reach rewiring the phone lines up the poles only yesterday so think I'm struggling with 2'issues.They physically yanked our house phone line connection whilst up the pole yesterday I happened to witness this from kitchin window so perhaps lines etc need to settle down .Yes apparently even non smart boiler controls can cut out internet connection

flashing orange light is usually associated with a break of the upstream connection from the Hub to internet.

For copper DSL port to the master socket and to the openreach network, for Full Fibre the WAN cable to the ONT.

For a DSL connection there could be electrical interference (REIN) when the boiler is operating which is disrupting the dsl signal, stopping the boiler might explain the blue light returning.

Yes, boiler controls can definitely interfere with routers. If your heating system uses wireless technology, it can cause Wi-Fi dropouts, slow speeds, or even cause your router to constantly reboot.reply from Google ai

Hive uses Zigbee wireless protocol, which is different to a routers WiFi.

But, they share the same 2.4Ghz radio frequency spectrum, so co channel interference can occur.

It is important not to have the Hive hub and router close to each other. You could try moving the Hub Two Wifi channel from Smart, try using channels 1, 6 or 11 in turn to see if that helps.

I have an issue with the connection between my roomstat and my central heating boiler which drops connection during the night (and sometimes during the day) and wake up to a cold house. The problem started soon after installation of my full fibre broadband. If I turn off my router at bedtime, all is fine and the house is nice and cosy in the morning. I have contacted the boiler manufacturer and they say that I cannot change the frequency of the boiler receiver. Any help much appreciated.
Looks like similar issue

My Hive Hub has to be connected to the BT Homehub(not PN) using a cable. If that's the case here, then the Hive Hub can't be sited far away from it.

Maybe I'm lucky because there have been no issues with the wireless connection between the Hive Hub to the receiver and room stat.

Am I wrong in thinking the orange flashing light indicates the router is trying to connect to the internet or connecting via WPS?

Nothing to do with WPS, there is a light behind the WPS button which flashes Blue when the button is pressed.

Flashing orange is the Hub not having a connection to the internet, as I previously described, a constant flashing would be no internet connection to either the DSL or WAN port.

Solid orange would indicate an issue with the connection.
