Hi all,

My connection is very intermittent. I have a very old master socket which has seen better days.

How do I go about getting a new one? Does Plusnet contact BT on my behalf? Is there a fee?

Thanks

Have you checked to see if there's a line fault?

https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/fix-broadband-problems/

If one is identified you could get an engineer out who "might" tidy up your connection.

Edit : Following @PhilipHeyes post this shows various BT Master Sockets

@cobb1es, the images you have posted shows the external 'dropwire' being crimped to the internal cable. Second image is a BT connection box to do the same function. As suggested above, run a fault test.

Looks to me like the 1st photo is showing what is inside the internal junction box that has been removed in the 2nd photo.

I thought these had 4 jelly crimps rather than 2 shown?
