Plusnet like many other comms providers use a system called TR069 ( CWMP/TR-069 ) to manage hubs, this allows for remote management of their support routers, used mainly for firmware updates and line testing.

The Hub One event log may have the answer to what has happened.

In the olden days, it used to be quite easy to look at the tickets raised about problems with broadband; but it doesn't appear to be the same these days. Could someone answer the question: "Where do I need to go in order to review the progress of a ticket?"

Hi John.

Thanks for the link - I don't know how, but it got me straight to the ticket!!

Interestingly, the Plusnet staff title it as a "question", but in the dialogue they do refer to a "ticket".

Hi John, I know this is marked as fixed (and essentially it is), but I hope you don't mind my asking another question on this thread.

My broadband was down for two days. When it came back, I noticed that changes had been made to the settings on my Hub One Plusnet router. Can you think of any reason why Plusnet or Openreach would want to change any of the router settings?

Boz

What changes, because there shouldn't be any I can think of?

For some reason "they" enabled Wifi. This was immediately apparent when my broadband came back; because, on the front of the Hub One router, a red symbol appears to indicate that Wifi is disabled.

I just don't understand how "they" got around my password!!
