however, if I decided to stay with Plusnet, would I receive a new router?

Has the WiFi offering from Plusnet changed in the last two years?

No

Currently I have 'WiFi 5' with the Hub Two and 145 package, but I know WiFi 6 and 7 exists but not sure the difference.

Have a look at https://www.copperpodip.com/post/demystifying-wi-fi-a-comprehensive-comparison-of-wi-fi-5-6-and-7

Unless your device(s) are also Wifi 6 capable , then you wont see a lot of difference going to a Wifi 6 capable router.

Wifi 5 under good conditions will max out at around 400Mb so is perfectly capable of saturating a FF145 connection. Getting a faster router will only improve local (LAN) network access e.g to a file server

Hi,
My contract is due to end soon. I'm looking at alternative broadband suppliers, however, if I decided to stay with Plusnet, would I receive a new router? Has the WiFi offering from Plusnet changed in the last two years? Currently I have 'WiFi 5' with the Hub Two and 145 package, but I know WiFi 6 and 7 exists but not sure the difference. (My Mum has WiFi 6 example from Ogi). Or is this a case of the type of router that broadcasts the WiFi? Excuse my naivety, I'm not very technical minded.
