Upload Speed Just Halved!

I've only been with Plusnet for a few months (on part fibre (80/20) but have had decent (relatively) download speeds of approx 74Mbps and upload of around 18Mbps.

While working at home today, my connection dropped for a few seconds and has reconnected at 79.99 download and 8.3 upload ... my actual upload speed is now about 8!

Has something happened on the network?

Should I just try a router reboot?

@Polyphone Welcome to the Plusnet Community Fora.

You could try. If that doesn't help leave the Hub powere up for half an hour or so and try a factory reset of the Hub. Push a paperclip or similar in the reset hole. Keep the switch closed until you get a green light. It will then take several minutes to re-establish a connection.

If that doesn't work we first need to establish whether you are testing over a wired Ethernet or wireless connection to the Hub. If wireless, can you test using an Ethernet cable?

Sight of the full line stats would be helpful.

What you describe could be caused by narrow spectrum RFI impacting the US carrier tone bins.
