Connection drops during heavy rain

Hello,
We have had an issue for a long time where our broadband drops out (then comes back in a few minutes) if it starts to rain heavily. We've always just put up with it as it wasn't a major issue, but my wife is now working from home and it's more of a problem.
As I say it's always at the start of a downpour, and the drop only lasts a few minutes before broadband reconnects.
Would be grateful for any help!

We had a line issue due to corrosion that OR were unable to fix and it’s why I moved to FTTP when it became available.
