      <title>DLM Reset</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My connection drops regularly overnight, probably once a week. I live in an area that is notorious for faults and poor cabling but have had multiple engineers saying there's nothing they can do.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;They also enabled interleaving on their most recent visit but doesn't seemed to have helped, only makes the speeds drop further.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;My sync speed on the router has now dropped to 13mbps. Would appreciate a DLM reset please.&lt;/P&gt;

The only other thing i can do is trigger another DLM reset. Its a longshot but maybe the SNR margins didn't change in line with the modify order.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Ultimately if the reset doesn't prove to be fruitful, I'm not sure what else we could do.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think it's worth noting that changing the stability profile would just alter the parameters which DLM uses when making adjustments, so these type of changes aren't instant. I'd actually advise against rebooting the hub and keeping the connection as stable as possible to try to 'prove' to DLM that the connection can tolerate a higher speed. Even though another DLM reset will induce a drop, it may actually be beneficial as it will trigger a re-train and encourage it to make an adjustment quicker.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Having said that, I've tested the line and I can see the sync speed has now increased to&amp;nbsp;~37mbps, although it's also flagged a number of errored seconds, which could affect throughput, so may need pursuing as a fault (this wasn't showing on a test done earlier today, so I suspect it's likely the higher sync speed has triggered the errors).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thanks, I have definitely noticed an increase in speed. As you have said its now showing as 37mbps sync speed.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I haven't restarted the hub at all. I'll let it do it's thing.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;So do I just monitor it for now and see how it goes? as you say the errors may be due to speed rather than an actual fault?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yeah I think the line is generating errors due to the higher speed, but could only be a matter of time before it falls over itself and things starts slowing down again.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Imagine it like a bumpy road, we’ve forced the ‘car’ to go fast, but the bumps are still there, so the tyres eventually break and it slows down (there were no errors at the slower sync, so couldn’t have known this previously).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Assuming the errors persist, I reckon it’s indicative of an underlying issue with the line that should be further investigated by an engineer. Although appreciate you’ve had quite a few engineers out previously.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Silver lining is that it’s generally easier to diagnose an issue if the connection’s behaving poorly, so the errors may just be what an engineer needs to sort it, although granted I wasn’t close to the previous investigation.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You could try re-reporting the issue by text here:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/&lt;/A&gt; and see what happens.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Keep us posted on how you get on.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If you’re available for a quick call, I have sent you a DM please reply with a suitable time I would like to go over some checks with you to see if there’s anything we can do to improve the speeds. If we are unable to resolve the issue, I would like to explore the possibility of bringing in another engineer. I understand that you’ve had several before, but it has been a while since we last addressed this.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
