I have really odd problem today - I just can't access one website. I cleared history and cookies and all from my browser, can access anything else I want. If I tether from my phone, I can access this website, but if I connect to wi-fi it keeps timing out. I never changed any settings, and everything was fine yesterday - I use that site for work, so this is quite annoying. Any ideas what I should try next?

Which site is it? There have been other instances of this recently - I'm just wondering if there have been some routing changes introduced into the BT network that have gone slightly 'pear-shaped'?

This seems to be most bizarre - the problem is not my laptop or browser settings because when I tether via GiffGaff/02, I can access it all fine with all browsers, but not with Plusnet. And it was all fine yesterday. I wait for a couple of days and keep testing. If still not working, then I suppose I will report it.

Thanks for everyone,

If you are using a Windows based PC this might help: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-change-your-pcs-dns-settings-windows-10 or this: https://www.howtogeek.com/767564/how-to-change-dns-servers-on-windows-11/

Whilst I normally use opendns, I've just tried an nslookup using both the Plusnet primary, secondary and safeguard DNS servers and they all resolve the domain correctly

There is no guarantee you'll be assigned a different broadband IP Address after leaving the Hub off for a while. So it will be helpful if you can take a note of your current broadband IP Address before switching off.

Still have the issue. I can access any other site I try, and never had this issue with either site before.

I did access Gardners via 4G, but that doesn’t help me much !
It must be very annoying if you use Browns BFS or Gardners daily. Luckily for me it is only a minor inconvenience, but I would like to fix it .

Thanks for letting me know - I seem not to access Gardners either. For me, this is a major inconvenience because I order from Browns a lot during the day, and 4G is too slow for some other tasks - it seems 5G is unreliable nowadays in my area. I am not sure if it would help to get in touch with Browns ( and Gardners)?
