I signed up for a new line trial and was told to report faults found on the website https://bt.centercode.com

The new line trial was really good.

However trying to log into the feedback site has been impossible as I get a 403 error.

https://bt.centercode.com - gets 403 Forbidden

https://centercode.com - gets to the from page

https://signin.centercode.com gets 403 Forbidden

If I try from my GiffGaff Smartphone I can get to the log in page.

If I use Lynx from the CPANEL command line tool I can get to the login page.

Any ideas?

Back in 2010, the phonebook did not display the phone number when I looked up my phone number using my Plsunet broadband. I was told it was my fixed IP address. -

The trials people at BT asked if I wanted to take put in a "New Line Trial".

Hoping I would get Digital Voice on the cheap, I signed up.

A really nice engineer came and fitted the line. so now I have two analogue phone lines to my house.

The Openreach one that Plusnet provide and this new trial line. It works really well.

I was asked to sign into https://bt.centercode.com to provide feedback for the trial.

I get "403 Forbidden"

So I tried https://www.centercode.com/ and can get to the feedback site provider's home page.

When I try from my broadband at home I cannot as I get the "403 forbidden"

Can you report what you get?

I used nslookup to find the ip addresses above and tried the ip address directly.

I am trialling the new line, not the feedback site.

I said to the BT Trials contact I would try the Plusnet Forum to see if I could get some help.

Plusnet is part of BT and there may be a rule that prevents Plusnet getting to other bits of BT.

I would really like Digital Voice from Plusnet.

The new line trial is for a new PSTN solution, for devices that cannot use a smart phone.

Ah, OK.

Just out of interest, I can get to the login page on my internet connection, but I am not with PN any more, and am not routed via BT data centres as you are - looks like a routing issue.

If I could remeber my Trials login details, I could use my Mobile phone that is on Giff Gaff.

One reason for staying with Plusnet is they host my web site.

I can immediately see all of those pages without problems, with my Plusnet BB service.

'It's' definitely happening again! (routing, secure login issues)

Your tracert to bt.centercode.com is the same as mine.

Have you ever been able to login ? it looks like the site doesnt like the IP range that you're in. I wonder if that range is one of the old BT Americas range and the centercode site has VERY old geolocation data ?

My fixed ip address was set up a very long time ago.

I wouldn't mess about with tracert to sites that do not respond to ping

telnet <destinatioon host> 443 would be a far better test

or use windows power shell command tnc

If my suspicion is correct, then you cant do anything to turn it off. The centercode site is using its geolocation database to lookup your IP and decides its not a valid one i.e not UK
