      <description>&lt;P&gt;i&amp;nbsp; am currently experiencing&amp;nbsp; high latency&amp;nbsp; and&amp;nbsp; occasional dropouts, my&amp;nbsp; son is a heavy&amp;nbsp; gamer and&amp;nbsp; never&amp;nbsp; usually experiences ping/high latency&amp;nbsp; problems&amp;nbsp; .&amp;nbsp; he&amp;nbsp; is&amp;nbsp; connected via ethernet and is usually dead&amp;nbsp; 0 ping on&amp;nbsp; most&amp;nbsp; games.&amp;nbsp; of&amp;nbsp; recent&amp;nbsp; he&amp;nbsp; has&amp;nbsp; been&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;experiencing&amp;nbsp; 60-70 pint via ethernet&amp;nbsp; and high&amp;nbsp; latency&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;beyond unplayable when&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;not&amp;nbsp; connected&amp;nbsp; by&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;ethernet&amp;nbsp; .&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;we&amp;nbsp; are&amp;nbsp; currently receiving 60-70 download&amp;nbsp; ands&amp;nbsp; 10-15&amp;nbsp; upload&amp;nbsp; which isnt the problem. when&amp;nbsp; running&amp;nbsp; a bufferbloat tester we&amp;nbsp; are&amp;nbsp; receiving&amp;nbsp; a grade of&amp;nbsp; D and&amp;nbsp; 250+&amp;nbsp; ms&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;when an&amp;nbsp; upload&amp;nbsp; is&amp;nbsp; active and&amp;nbsp; 50+&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;when&amp;nbsp; unloaded .&amp;nbsp; if&amp;nbsp; there&amp;nbsp; is&amp;nbsp; anything&amp;nbsp; we&amp;nbsp; can&amp;nbsp; do&amp;nbsp; to&amp;nbsp; reduce ping please let&amp;nbsp; us&amp;nbsp; know&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The Plusnet router does suffer "bufferbloat", which will definitely cause your issues.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Wifi is never a good way to connect anything that need high bandwidth or low latency.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The solution is a better router that supports better "fair queuing", plus will need to be configured correctly.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;What is the router's "&lt;SPAN&gt;Downstream sync speed", as on the Status page? Are you on "FTTH" or "FTTC"?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
