Apple less than helpful

want to but new ipad mini but cannot set-up without Apple ID

@jetsetjim Your Apple ID should show at the top left of your 'Settings' page, but if you have not kept a record of your password, I am not sure of the recovery procedure for that - sorry, but I think Apple should be able to help - I can't be certain, because I always keep a record elsewhere of such data.

butting new ipad mini's is never a good idea!

Apple has instructions and a website to help you recover your details, unlike PN who will have no clue what your apple ID is.

Don't you have an apple device you can look at?
