Hi,
I had this issue a couple of weeks ago, called up Plusnet and they said that an engineer needed to come to fix the problem.
I waited an entire day, no engineer. Called up Plusnet again, was told the problem had been fixed remotely so that's why no engineer, and OpenReach should have let me know.
Router was fine for a few days then started flashing orange again since Saturday, which isn't good as I needed to work that day and that requires internet.
I sent a message to Plusnet and as yet no reply. It's been flashing on and off today.
I upgraded to Full Fibre in December expecting a better package but it's been worse.
I am assuming this is an OpenReach issue but they can't say it's sorted and a week later it's down again.

@Lee45 is this actually a Full Fibre connection ? i.e your router is connected with an ethernet cable from the red WAN port to an ONT.

It shouldnt be possible for the router to show flashing Orange in this case UNLESS the connection between the router and ONT is faulty. Check that the cable is securely connected to both ther router and ONT.

Do you have have an Nte5C master socket with a Mk4 faceplate like this ?

Yes, that's the one, the router is plugged into that.
I usually switch off the router at the wall overnight or when I'm not in.
When I switched it back earlier it flashed orange for a good 7 to 10 minutes.

Can I ask why? Hubs are designed to be 'always on'.

Well, when the energy prices started skyrocketing a year or two ago, I was trying everything to save money. I only ever had four electrical appliances switched on at the wall: the fridge, boiler, radio and router.
I started switching off the router and radio at times not used and saved myself a whopping 6p a day.
Every little helps haha. I just got used to doing that.

Fair enough - but I suggest you leave the Hub powered up - it shouldn't, but could, cause issues constantly re-powering it, and it will shorten its life.

Yeah, I'll do that. It's a Hub 1 still, I was hoping the Hub 2 came free with the upgrade but no such luck 😄
