My guess would be that your daughter's "works computer" is connecting to the internet via a VPN ?

As you are either new to Plusnet, or because you upgraded to 'fibre', it is not unknown for Plusnet's server side firewall setting to get altered (on an account change/upgrade) to "High" (i.e. maximum protection), which unfortunately will block a VPN connection.

To check this,

login to your Plusnet account using the "Member Centre"

then use this link to navigate to the "Broadband Firewall"

If it's not set "Low" already, change the firewall level to "Low", and then reboot your router for the change to occur.

The "Low" setting should allow a VPN to connect from your home network.

I didn't think that the Plusnet server firewall was included on new accounts?
