Do you know how long it normally takes for the speed change to happen if the line is ok? It’s baffling that there is any change at all when all I did was drop a landline. No change in provider, equipment or faceplate etc.

I recently upgraded my package to a fibre only line getting rid of the landline phone. Before that I had a connection of 80mbs and now my max speed is 69mbs. Can you check my line for a fault as this is much slower than I had previously? I have a log to show speeds I am getting.

Hi @adzkyle I'm sorry to hear you're having slow speeds. I've checked your account and I can see that your estimated download speed is between 64 - 72Mb. This was mentioned in the renewal contract.

@adzkyle if your line had been performing well previously, it's likely that the DSLAM had reduced the target snr down to 3db. That would have given the increased speed. The new provision will have reset the DSLAM back to the default 6db snr thus reducing the maximum speeds. If the line continues to be errror freebie DSLAM will eventually reduce the target snr again and return to the higher speed.

Hi Claudia
Yes but that was my estimated speed the last time I signed up and I got 80mbs. I haven’t changed address or equipment. Simple removed a phone from my account. That should not adjust the speeds I get.
