I am getting regular drop outs from my internet connection

Can you do some tests to check it .

quiet line test seems ok.

It seems to be a line fault again.

I have got no dial tone at all now on my landline.

I have just tested at the master socket with an analogue phone.

no connection and at.

internet still works when it is connected, speeds seem okay.

The fault is different today, I have got a phone connection again,

but the internet speed is down a bit, although it seems stable.

We did have snow the other day when the faults seemed to first appear.

it is dry today.

so will wait and see if they can find the fault on Monday.

@vfr750 How far down? If the phone fault is repaired, the internet connection should improve. What router are you using?

the speeds have dropped from 37 to 30 on download and 9 to 8 on upload

I have a BT hub 6

I have had similar line faults in the past, always been a bad line,

mostly where it goes through some trees.

yes on 38-10 I think.

I have looked at the wan errors log it seems to be clear from 6am today.

So I will wait and see if the engineer can find the fault.

I have had similar in the past, the first engineer found nothing, then it rained

and the second engineer found it easily. just hope it is raining on Monday. 😀

sold it to my brother though so still in family.

I did 130,000 miles on it between 1989 and 2003.

great Honda build quality then.

just had engineer on site, line fault not fully showing as it is dry today.

my internet speed is lower and has some intermittent cut outs.

the phone line varies from okay to no connection at all.

They are going to either cut back the trees or get a bigger pole fitted to go over the trees.

The engineer will report back, that I have had the same fault at least 3 times.

So they need to do a proper fix this time.

To either cut back trees, higher telephone pole, or run underground.

So I just have to wait and hope it stays dry.🙄
