To connect router or not?

I am due to be connected tomorrow. Plusnet is telling me not to connect my router until they message that it has gone live but BT is messaging me to make sure my router is connected by 8am. Who do I listen to?

@joannela13 You have options here - you can either follow the BT guidance and have possible initial connection issues to Plusnet (which can be sorted), or you can follow the PN suggestion which should avoid them. Personally, I would wait until your BT connection closes, and then connect the PN Hub.

If you have posted on the wrong board and you are connecting to full fibre then you should plug your hub in as requested by BT.

@Baldrick1 You are of course correct if this is a Full Fibre connection, but the OP has not been very specific. I admit I hadn't thought about that possibility.
