Hi there, changing the wireless channels might help with this too. If you have an Android based device there's a free app on the play store called "Wifi Analyzer" that will run a scan and show you the channels which are least affected by other Wifi signals from nearby.

Hi,

I live in an old Victorian / Edwardian house with thick walls and so have a number of TP link 'plugs' going from the router to the TV, both computer rooms etc.

This means that, when I check the router settings, these devices show up as 'wired' devices as opposed to our phones which show up as wireless.

Although our phones do occasionally drop the signal (especially at certain points in the house), generally they are ok, however recently it has become almost impossible to watch TV (on our 5 year old TV) using either a NOW or Amazon streaming stick as the signal drops with great regularity.

The TV is not connected directly to the router (which cant be moved any closer) but can pick up either the direct plus net wifi signal or that from the TP link - however, it will still drop out after a few minutes even though the connection is sometimes classed as excellent.

Today I have gone into the router settings and created different SSID for 2.5 & 5 GHZ - is there anything else that I can do?

Thanks
