Thanks for getting back to me, so we could potentially change the current "stable" profile to "standard" through BT Wholesale, reducing the SNR and potentially increasing your speed.

If you'd like to give that a go, let me know. To be honest though, it does look like the line is performing within expectations at the minute

FTTC: Profile/SNR change?

Not sure if this is something that Plusnet can do but.. my FTTC line is currently sync'd at 70Mbit. Its super stable (current 18d uptime was only interrupted by a power cut) but according to my modem stats (using Hub 2 in bridge mode) my current line speed is higher than the "max attainable" (~67Mbit). I guess if I were to reboot the modem my sync speed would drop to this level. Are PN able to change the profile or target SNR to eek more speed out of it? The line seems to be much more stable than most.

Good morning @jeffers

so when it comes to FTTC, we can't actually make any changes to the SNR on the line, though we can modify the line's stability profile

thanks @adam945 ; yeah, if you could get me swapped over to the "standard" profile that would be great. I have some monitoring on the line stats so will keep an eye on it

Apologies for the delayed response @jeffers

That's all been sorted out for you, the order should complete by tomorrow, so going forward you may see a slight increase in your downstream speeds.
