Hello

just a quick question I am registered for an Unlimited Fibre inc. Line rental package, but BT Openreach have just told me there is no Fibre cable coming to the house?

Does this make sense ? can it work ? should I be on a different package ?

@clara Welcome to the forum.

Unlimited fibre is delivered over your existing telephone cable. Only full fibre needs a separate fibre connection to your property

The joys of inappropriate marketing.

FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) is marketed as fibre even though it uses copper for the "final mile". This often gets confused with FTTP which involves pure fibre optic all the way to a premise.

You can check for your self what is available via OpenReach. Put your phone number in the following and see what it says.

VDSL in the left hand window is FTTC. WBC FTTP is pure fibre.
